A network of members across the North, Centre and South, united by one goal: strengthening Viet Nam’s ability to prevent online scams.

Master Trainers are the core force of Scam Ready ASEAN in Viet Nam. They connect the programme with communities through training and sharing knowledge on preventing online scams.

The knowledge and skills you gain

During training, Master Trainers build five sets of knowledge and skills so they can lead community sessions with confidence.

  • Understanding online scams

Learn the common types of scams and tactics, and how scammers exploit people’s psychology, emotions and behaviour.

  • Spotting and avoiding scams

Learn to notice warning signs, check and verify information, and protect accounts and personal data.

  • Responding and supporting

Know what to do when you or someone else is at risk of becoming a victim, and help those affected find support and report it properly.

  • Running and facilitating sessions

Practise explaining ideas, leading discussions, running interactive activities and handling whatever comes up in the room.

  • Supporting communities

Reach the groups most vulnerable to online scams, use plain, non-judgemental language and create a space where participants feel free to share.

After completing training

Master Trainers run community sessions according to the plan below.

    1. Run community sessions on preventing online scams in their local area or within their own community networks.

  2. Illustration: a magnifying glass over a phone message marked with a warning sign

    2. Help participants recognise scam tactics, take steps to protect themselves and know how to respond to anything suspicious.

  3. Illustration: neighbours of all ages holding hands around a tea table in front of small colourful houses, under a clear protective shield dome

    3. Help build communities with the knowledge, skills and confidence to protect themselves online.
